Ascot Vale Smiles Children’s Dentistry welcomes children of all ages into our practice and will make sure they feel comfortable and cared for. We believe that oral health and habits are established early so that our young patients will have a lifetime of healthy teeth. Our children’s dentistry process recommend their first appointment at about the age of 3 but also welcome parents to bring kids of any age to their own appointments. This can help them accustom themselves to our wonderful environment and most importantly encourage their return.
We will advise children and their parents on:
- Correct hygiene practice – brushing and flossing techniques
- Timing of braces and orthodontic treatment
- Accidents and traumatic injury to the mouth
- Preventive fissure sealants
- Diet and dental decay
- Mouthguards for sport
- Correcting oral habits
Ascot Vale Smiles is privileged to have Dr. Vi Buiquang as our resident Children’s dentist. Some dentist’s simply have a knack for developing rapport with younger patients which is definitely Vi’s forte. She has previously worked in a child-friendly practice “Tooth Fairy Industries” in the Thornland’s, Brisbane, and she carries a wealth of experience in treating children in the dental setting.
